Anthony Olatunbosun ABIRI

Anthony Olatunbosun Abiri is a member of the academic staff in the Department of Surveying and Geoinformatics, Faculty of Environmental Design and Management, at Obafemi Awolowo University, Ile-Ife, Nigeria. He holds a B.Sc. degree in Surveying and Geoinformatics from the University of Nigeria, Nsukka, and an M.Sc. degree in Remote Sensing and Geographic Information Systems from Obafemi Awolowo University. He is a Registered Surveyor and an active member of the Nigerian Institution of Surveyors (NIS) and the Nigerian Association of Geodesy (NAG). Since joining the university, he has balanced teaching, research, and professional service, with a research interest in Remote Sensing, GIS, GNSS, and Geodesy.

Before transitioning to academia, Abiri gained substantial practical and administrative experience within the seismic surveying sub-sector of the Oil and Gas industry. He contributed to numerous projects across Nigeria, including seismic data acquisition and processing for major prospects such as SAHARA EXT and OML65-3D EXT. His industry tenure includes work with prominent firms such as BGP/CNPC International Nigeria Ltd, Integrated Data Services Ltd (IDSL), and Petrostuff International Nigeria Ltd.
