Olugboyo Odunayo Tayo is a Surveying and Geoinformatics professional with a Bachelor of Science from Obafemi Awolowo University and a National Diploma from The Polytechnic Ibadan. She currently serves as a Graduate Assistant in the Department of Surveying and Geoinformatics, Faculty of Environmental Design and Management, while pursuing a Master of Science in Remote Sensing and GIS. She is currently a Pupil Surveyor under Surveyors Council of Nigeria and also an Associate Member of Nigeria Institution of Surveyors.

Her academic training and professional experience cover land surveying, geospatial data acquisition, GIS analysis, spatial modeling, and field data management. She has participated in cadastral, topographic, and construction surveys across academic and private sector environments, gaining practical exposure to precision measurement, mapping, and geospatial reporting.

Odunayo’s research interest lies in the application of Geographic Information Systems and Remote Sensing to spatial planning and infrastructure allocation. Her undergraduate research focused on the spatial distribution of public secondary schools in Ile-Ife, applying multi-criteria analysis aligned with UNESCO guidelines to support equitable educational facility planning and Sustainable Development Goal 4.

She is committed to applying geospatial technologies to support sustainable development, evidence-based planning, and efficient spatial decision-making.
